A Wine Born From Friendship
Save Our Soul (SOS) is the result of a long-standing friendship and shared dream between Jason Searle and William Downey. Their story began in Bass Phillip, Gippsland, Victoria, where a young William was starting his winemaking apprenticeship and Jason was helping with the harvest. Over meals and long days in the vineyard, the two bonded over a shared vision of creating something together.
Journeys Across the World
After completing their early winemaking experiences—William in Burgundy and Jason in Piedmont, Italy—they spent a decade apart, gathering knowledge and refining their craft. When they reunited in Melbourne, they decided it was finally time to bring their collaborative vision to life.
Humble Beginnings, Ambitious Vision
SOS began in a small corner of a friend’s winery in the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula, with just enough space for a few tanks. Despite its modest beginnings, the wine reflects the years of experience, dedication, and friendship of its creators. Each bottle tells the story of two men pursuing a shared dream, one glass at a time.
