About This Wine

Sourced from the Chalmers Family’s Colbinabbin Vineyard, located north on the famous Camel Range in the Heathcote GI. The westerly-sloped site features Cambrian soils and is farmed organically. Grapes were hand-harvested in early February, destemmed into open fermenters, and naturally fermented with no additions. Minimal handling included just two pump-overs before pressing to barrel for 14 months’ maturation. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphur.

Tasting Notes

Dark plums and cherries form the juicy core, with lingering crushed cherry on the back palate. Additional notes of tomato leaf, pomegranate, sweet cherry, smoke, and dried leaves. Bright red, crunchy fruit aromas and vibrant energy give the wine a rustic yet charming personality.
