Jules Taylor Wines
Marlborough, New Zealand
Meet the Producer
Jules Taylor creates honest, fruit-packed Marlborough wines that are fun, approachable, and full of character. Her wines are for people who laugh, sing, dance, feast, and celebrate—those who enjoy good company, great food, and meaningful moments.
Born in Marlborough in the year the first vines were planted, Jules grew up alongside Sauvignon Blanc and developed a deep connection to the region and its grape-growing families.
She spent several life-changing vintages in Italy, where she learned to appreciate wine as a simple pleasure to be shared with loved ones. This philosophy emphasizes creating memories over status or cellaring potential.
Returning to New Zealand, Jules worked her way up to Group Senior Winemaker at Marlborough Valley Cellars, producing some of the region’s most beloved wines. In 2001, she founded Jules Taylor Wines with just 200 cases, humorously noting that if they didn’t sell, the family would simply enjoy them over Christmas.
Over the next few years, with two children and many late nights, Jules and her husband George made the decision to pursue the business full-time. Despite the uncertainty of the global financial crisis, the brand flourished, earning awards and recognition.
Today, Jules crafts a small but high-quality collection of wines, reflecting the sunshine of Marlborough and her love for winemaking. Each bottle is a celebration of flavor, fun, and memorable moments.
