Suckfizzle is a wine with a story as bold and unique as its character. Inspired by Sir Suckfizzle from François Rabelais’ Gargantua and Pantagruel, the brand balances playful storytelling with serious winemaking. The tale of two giants—Great Lord Suckfizzle and his rival Great Lord Kissmyarse—reflects the fun-loving nature that informs the brand, while the wines themselves are crafted with precision and care.
The Vineyard
Suckfizzle wines are made from grapes grown at the Suckfizzle Vineyard in Augusta, Australia’s most south-westerly vineyard. Surrounded by the Hardy Inlet, Leeuwin Naturalist Ridge, and both the Southern and Indian Oceans, the vineyard benefits from strong maritime influences and a unique microclimate shaped by the Blackwood River. These conditions produce wines with distinctive flavor, character, and age-ability.
Varieties
The range includes Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon—grapes carefully selected to reflect the vineyard’s exceptional terroir.
