About This Wine
From a small plot of just 700 vines in the Suckfizzle Vineyard at Karridale, this Chardonnay is produced in extremely limited quantities—only around 130 dozen bottles per vintage. The cool-climate location contributes to the wine’s tension, precision, and refined structure, while the 2021 vintage adds vibrancy and citrus-focused clarity.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of citrus zest, lemon balm, lime oil, and Meyer lemon intertwine with notes of pink grapefruit and fresh ginger. Subtle wafts of funky sulphides and creamy lees complexity emerge on the palate, balanced by oak spice and a light phenolic grip. The wine is fine-boned yet layered, with juicy acidity carrying it to a long, elegant, and tightly coiled finish. This is a Chardonnay of elegance, subtlety, and latent power.

Best enjoyed with fresh seafood, creamy poultry dishes, or roast chicken with lemon and thyme. Serve chilled but allow the wine to warm slightly in the glass to unlock its full aromatic spectrum.
