About This Wine

Sourced from approximately 30-year-old vines at Yangarra Estate in Blewitt Springs, this Mourvèdre reflects the producer’s philosophy of pushing boundaries while maintaining a strong sense of place. The 2021 season offered near-perfect growing conditions, with well-timed light rains ensuring healthy vines and pristine fruit. Inspired by the great Mourvèdres of southwest France, this is only the second release of the wine.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Deep ruby with purple hues.

• Nose: Aromas of spice, white pepper, blue flowers, and bright red and blue fruits, with hints of honeyed nuts and grilled meat.

• Palate: Medium-bodied, crisp, and lively with slate-like acidity, fine dusty tannins, and sappy dried herbs. The finish is long, crunchy, and red-fruited, showing exceptional energy and vibrancy.
