About This Wine

From Sue Trott’s 75-year-old Home Block in Blewitt Springs at 250 metres above sea level, grown on deep sandy soils. This single-vineyard Grenache is a statement wine—capturing the essence of site, vine age, and sensitive winemaking. Whole bunch and whole berry fermentations were carried out in concrete, followed by 10 months’ maturation in 500L French oak (20% new) and concrete egg. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, only 960 bottles were produced.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Deep, vivid purple with ruby edges.

• Nose: Exotic and perfumed with flowering herbs, anise, chocolate, dark raspberry, and cherry.

• Palate: Muscular yet refined, with layers of ripe purple and red fruits, spice, and graphite tannin grip. Blue-fruited and spicy tones linger through a very long, firm finish.

• Texture: Fine, pithy tannins delivering structure and precision.
