About This Wine
Selected as ANA International First Class Service Wine (2019), this Sauvignon Blanc reflects Terre à Terre’s dedication to expressing site and climate. Grapes are hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, chilled overnight, fermented in large French oak demi-muids (20% new), and matured on lees for 8 months. This approach creates both aromatic complexity and a textural depth uncommon for the variety.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw with green highlights. The nose is vibrant and exotic, showing guava, passionfruit, and green pineapple layered with subtle oak spice. The palate is fresh yet richly textured, balancing tropical fruit intensity with the structural grip and savory nuances from barrel fermentation and maceration. The finish is long, lifted by cleansing acidity.
Accolades
96 Points – James Halliday: “A bold decision to let the grapes ripen to the degree they have, but it’s paid dividends—the exotic array of guava, passionfruit, and green pineapple is perfectly balanced by the oak influence and lees complexity.”
