About This Wine
From the closely planted vines of the limestone-based Crayères Vineyard (1.5m x 1.5m spacing), this blend showcases the aromatic lift of Cabernet Franc with the plush depth of Shiraz. Whole-cluster fermentation adds further dimension and texture, while the cool-climate site ensures vivid freshness and structure.
Tasting Notes
Bright ruby with purple highlights. The nose offers a fragrant mix of florals, subtle herbal nuances, and pure red fruits—raspberry, redcurrant, cherry, and cassis—complemented by hints of mint, light spice, and toffee. The palate is medium-bodied and supple, with a fresh, sappy core of red fruit, smooth tannins, and a clean, crisp finish accented by vanilla and spice. While approachable now, it will evolve further over the next few years.
Accolades
89 Points – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Medium-bodied, with a sturdy, crisp feel in the mouth and dry tannins in evidence on the long, vanilla-tinged finish. Intriguing blend, with potential to evolve nicely, even if it lacks a bit of mid-palate texture.”
