About This Wine

Planted in 1979, the Tiers Vineyard is one of Australia’s most celebrated Chardonnay sites, located high in the cool Piccadilly Valley. Under the guidance of Brian Croser, Tapanappa continues to produce benchmark Chardonnay that balances concentration with finesse. The 2022 vintage is regarded as one of the finest to date, showing both immediate appeal and remarkable cellaring potential.

Tasting Notes

Pale lemon in colour, the wine opens with aromas of lemon zest, white peach, nougat, and subtle toasted oak. On the palate, it delivers piercing citrus intensity layered with notes of biscuit, almond, and fresh fig. The texture is finely structured, with seamlessly integrated phenolics and juicy acidity that drives a long, precise finish. This Chardonnay is both powerful and elegant—streamlined yet expansive—with the pedigree to evolve beautifully over the next decade or more.
