About This Wine

The 2021 vintage of Tapanappa’s Foggy Hill Pinot Noir reflects a cooler season with an above-average crop, showcasing the unique terroir of this elevated, windswept site. Founded by legendary Australian winemaker Brian Croser in 2002—together with Champagne Bollinger and the Cazes family of Lynch-Bages—Tapanappa crafts wines that marry precision, elegance, and place.

Tasting Notes

Translucent and light purple-red in the glass, this Pinot Noir opens with fragrant layers of florals, raspberry, and strawberry, underpinned by ripe plum—a hallmark of Foggy Hill. The palate is fresh and lilting, yet surprisingly intense, supported by refined but assertive tannins. Nuances of meat, spice, macerated cherry, and a whisper of seductive oak carry into a creamy mid-palate before finishing long and dry. This is considered by many to be one of the finest Foggy Hill Pinot Noir vintages to date.
