Where Wine Meets Rebellion
This Brand is Discontinued
Some Young Punks was born in 2006 from the collaboration of winemakers Colin McBryde, Nic Bourke (McLaren Vale) and Jen Gardner (Clare Valley, South Australia). “The formula was very simple,” said McBryde, “make rocking wine, with equally rocking packaging.” Fruit was sourced from across South Australia, including Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Piccadilly Valley, and Clare Valley.
The labels and bottle names were inspired by real pulp novels, such as Passion Has Red Lips and Naked on Roller Skates. For the T’n’T (Trixie and Tessa) series, the labels were created by Israeli illustrator Asaf Hanuka, designed to resemble 1950s film posters.
