About This Wine
Sourced from the coolest site in the far south-eastern end of the Yarra Valley, this Pinot Noir comes from three east-facing plots in a small valley running from Yarra Junction to Powelltown. The area’s fine gravelly, silty soils, late ripening season, and protection from mountain ranges create a wine of vibrant perfume, fine tannins, and depth of fruit. Naturally grown with minimal intervention and less than 30 mg/L of added sulfites.
Tasting Notes
Light in color yet full of aromatic complexity, with notes of cherry, blood plum, tobacco, garden mint, star anise, fennel seed, and green peppercorn. The palate is finely framed with long, elegant tannins, a mouth-filling quality, and bright acidity that supports the depth of fruit.
Serving Suggestions
Serve at 14–17°C.
