Tasting Notes

Bright mid-gold color. Exotic and decadent aromas of lychee, crushed ginger, sun-dried pear, apricot, and orange blossom unfold, revealing hints of spice and herbs as it opens. The palate is rich, fleshy, and layered with phenolics, likely contributed by the Gewürztraminer and Viognier, giving it weight and texture. Plush and oily in mouthfeel, it balances concentrated sweet fruit with a dry, grainy finish. A striking pithy mineral acidity runs through the palate, adding citrus, sweet herb notes, and tension.

This highly aromatic, full-bodied white wine offers great versatility with richer foods. Delicious now, it will evolve over the coming years, showcasing different varietal characteristics at each stage.

Winemaking Details

  • All varieties were hand-picked the same day from organically farmed vineyards on Framingham’s home estate, featuring old riverbed soils with greywacke stones, alluvial gravel, and silt.

  • Fruit was destemmed and left on skins for 12 hours before pressing.

  • Fermented spontaneously in seasoned oak puncheons and stainless-steel barrels.

  • Aged on gross lees without sulfur dioxide addition for 10 months to develop body and texture before blending and bottling.
