The Wine Advocate RP 92, Erin Larkin, Drink Date: 2023 - 2032

The Adelina Block 1 was originally planted to Cabernet Sauvignon in 1976, and in 2015, the vines were grafted over to a Southern Rhône selection of Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro, Ugni Blanc, Roussanne and Marsanne. Here, the 2022 Field Blend from these vines leads with a spicy, roasted meat nose, littered with pink peppercorns, red apple skins, cherries and green olive brine. The impact of white grapes in this wine is curiously distinct: it adds a floral clarity to the finish and pulls into focus the top red notes from the red grapes. It's a very fine, light red wine, with a web-like splay of tannins that settle on the palate. It feels co-fermented. Delicate. 12.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. Published: Aug 25, 2023

An exceptionally attractive fragrance with brambly layers of rich dark plums and berries.
The palate shows pastry-like, smooth tannins with a lithe and juicy tart red-plum snap on the finish.

A thoughtfully balanced blend of 50% Nebbiolo, 30% Dolcetto, and 20% Barbera.
Aromas reveal layers of crushed flowers, orange peel, and bright cherry.

The wine is smooth, straightforward, fresh, supple, and juicy. It can be enjoyed now or aged further.
